New Camera, New Photographer

Sat Mar 29, 2008, 11:18 PM
So I finally bought myself a Canon Rebel XTi as a present to myself and that means I will be spending more time on here than I used to. This site has amazing artwork and I cannot wait to upload some of mine. I have already uploaded a few recent pictures I took and now I take my camera everywhere so I have hundreds of pictures already.

I need to learn how to edit using Lightroom / Photoshop because they help a lot. Anyone with good tutorials would be greatly appreciated.

My page will be getting many updates and submissions soon as I get around to it. I know I haven't updated in a very long while and I hate being away from dA, but camp and school are very time consuming. I have taken many pictures over the summer that I plan to submit very soon. Just a heads up to watch the page for upcoming deviations.

Have a great summer and please feel free to leave comments

Could everyone (it's optional, but I'd appreciate it) put something like :"devdeviant-underground": (minus the speech marks) into their signature?

Also, when you comment on a deviation featured (appreciated :cuddle:) you could put "Found this deviation through :'devdeviant-underground:" (remove the speech marks)

Please everyone who reads this go to at least one deviation featured here. We have around 45 members, if just the members commented on one deviation featured, theres 45 comments, not to mention all the favourites, but lets say those members have an average of 5 people watching their journal, (this is most likely much less then they actually have) and theres 225 deviants, if each of them favourited one deviation, that deviation would most likely make it to the front page...
At the moment however, only like, 3 members from the club are commenting, this is not very many! so please please comment on something featured!

Please could everyone go here to vote on which of these deviations is your favourite? Thanks...

Bowling For Soup in the Rain

Well today started out just like any lazy Saturday. I got up at around 11ish and just hung out in bed and watched TV. I will admit this morning that nothing was on so I ended up watching Blue's Clues . After that I had driver's ed from 1:30 to 3, but one of the kids in the car didn't show so we ended a bit early, which was really good for me. Then when I got home and called Six Flags to make sure that the Bowling For Soup concert was still going on whether it was raining or not. They said yes so we were on our way.

I got there at around 4:15 and the line to get into the arena went back really far, but lucky for me my friend Chris was already waiting in the front of the line. I just walked past the whole line, no one saying anything to me, and met up with him and Paul at the front of the line. They let us into the arena at around 4:45 and it was drizzling. As Bowling For Soup got onto the stage the rain started to come down a bit heavier. No one seemed to mind the rain it all. I found it funny that as they played louder and louder, the rain started to come down harder and harder. It was an amazing show and honestly no one was even affected by the rain. People were getting soaked, but no one noticed at all. They even went old-school with a Britney Spears cover, which surprisingly, everyone knew the words too. I love how we will always remember those songs, but never let anyone know :p. After the show ended I weighed about 20 pounds heavier than when the concert started. They put on an amazing conert and I recommend going to see them if you have never seen them in concert.

The ride home was really rainy and dark. The rain was coming down in buckets and it was really hard to see. I am going to be afraid to drive in the rain, when I have to for the first time. I was soaked, but we stopped at Wawa's and got some food for the car ride home. We just listened to some music and talked about some stuff. Nothing special, but it really was a fun day. I love Six Flags and everything they do for us. Oh yea and Kingda Ka (Click for pictures) testing today and 456 feet up is really high when you stand next to the beast. I cannot wait until it opens.

~~Until next time...
